From the creators of Warframe, Digital Extremes, comes Soulframe, a game that seeks to combine Warframe combat with a setting inspired by movies like 'Princess Mononoke' and books like 'The Neverending Story.'
Soulframe moves away from the concept of ninjas in space for more melee-centric and slower combat. It's also more focused on exploring an ever-changing planet that doesn't want you on it. In this way, Soulframe offers a procedural game where the terrain changes every night, creating new terrain and caves to explore.
The Soulframe universe is, in the words of the game's director, more like a mirror of the Warframe universe than an expansion of it, so new players are more than welcome. It's not a sequel, so you don't need to know anything about Warframe to enjoy this game. Although Soulframe has some of the same elements, like a focus on cooperation between players, this game is based on confronting the environment around you. Soulframe prioritizes immersion above all, which is why it's important to be attentive to the changes that occur around you as you play.
Soulframe is, at its core, a game about nature and its restoration, which is an interesting premise that's definitely worth looking into.
